Great Escape Performance Program
In partnership with Autism Edmonton and Edmonton Down Syndrome Society we are excited to announce our Great Escape Dance Performance Program!
This is a program that offers dance technique and performance opportunities to dancers of all abilities in a community focused environment.
Over the course of the program, dancers will receive:
16 hours of Instructor-led training
A 2-hour dress rehearsal alongside all of our groups and guest performers at the studio led by the Great Escape team
A 3-hour tech rehearsal at our performance venue led by the Great Escape team
An opportunity to perform at our end of season showcase on a stage with professional sound and lighting in front of your friends and family
Professional photos of the end of season showcase
Additional details:
Classes will all be one hour in length
Classes will be hosted at Marr Mac Dance. Please note that this studio is not on the main level of the building and is unfortunately only accessible by stairs at this time. We are working to ensure there are no physical barriers for entering our classes for future seasons
Placement class on October 25, 2025 from 5:00pm - 6:00pm
The program will be split into two semesters, one running from October 25 to December 14, 2025 and one running from January 3 to February 22, 2026
Each semester, dancers will learn one group dance
The first class of the season will be a placement class where dancers will be matched with a group
Until dancers are matched to their group, we ask that you please keep both Saturday and Sunday afternoons free during the dates mentioned above. If you cannot do one of the times, please mention it on the registration form
Our dress rehearsal will take place on Saturday February 28, 2026 at the studio
The show date is Sunday March 1, 2025
Please note that in order to run the program, we need to hit a minimum number of dancers. If we do not hit this amount by October 1, we will be required to refund the participants and postpone the program. Share with your friends!
